Montgomery County DEP is collecting live Christmas trees and holiday greenery as yard trim through its regular curbside recycling service for single-family homes and townhomes. Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, tinsel, and metal or plastic decorations, and placed curbside by 7 a.m. on the resident's regular recycling day. Residents may also drop off trees and greenery at the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station at 16105 Frederick Road in Derwood.
