On New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, Ride On extRa 101 and Flex will not be in service, and the Ride On Flash Blue Route will be suspended. Ride On extRa Lime and extRa Pink will run on a Sunday schedule, while the Flash Orange Route operates on a weekend/holiday schedule. Metrorail will run a Weekend Late Night schedule from 6 a.m. to midnight, Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule, MARC Train will not run, and parking at county public garages, lots, curbside meters, and Metro facilities will be free all day.
