First Day Hike at Seneca Creek State Park on Jan. 1

Maryland State Parks is hosting a First Day Hike at Seneca Creek State Park on January 1, 2026, featuring a self-guided 3.7-mile walk along the Lakeshore Trail around Clopper Lake. Park rangers and volunteers will greet hikers at the Expo Field with hot cocoa, games, and nature activities. The event is part of a nationwide initiative led by America's State Parks.
