County, MCPS Add 163 EVs and Electric Buses to Fleets

During Fiscal Year 2025, Montgomery County and Montgomery County Public Schools expanded their fleets with 163 new electric and hybrid vehicles, including 36 electric buses, 75 new electric cars, 44 used electric cars, seven electric cargo vans, four plug-in hybrids, one hybrid pickup truck, and one battery-electric loader. The County remains on track to fully transition to a zero-emission bus fleet by 2035. These additions are detailed in the FY2025 Climate Action Plan Annual Report.
