Black Baseball Heritage Project Holds Feb. 2 Wheaton Meeting

Montgomery Parks is continuing its Black Baseball & Softball Community Heritage Project, an effort to document and celebrate the history of baseball and softball in Montgomery County's African American communities. A community meeting is scheduled for February 2, 2026, in Wheaton. The project has a particular connection to Johnson's Local Park in Emory Grove, historically the center of Black baseball in the county.
