County Launches 'Proud' Initiative to Expand Behavioral Health Workforce

Montgomery County has launched 'Proud,' a new funding initiative aimed at strengthening the behavioral health workforce and expanding recovery support services. The program offers paid work experiences for individuals with lived experience who train as Peer Recovery Specialists, and is also seeking businesses and organizations willing to host those specialists. The initiative is administered through the Primary Care Coalition.
