County Releases Climate Action Plan Annual Report for FY25

County Executive Marc Elrich, Council President Natali Fani-González, and other officials released the Climate Action Plan Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2025 on January 7, 2026. Key achievements include adding 36 electric buses to the RideOn fleet, planting over 5,000 trees, enacting Building Energy Performance Standards covering 1,860 buildings, and securing more than $58 million in climate-related grants. The Montgomery County Green Bank added 19.5 MW of clean energy, avoiding over 11,000 metric tons of CO2e emissions.
