Montgomery County, WSSC Launch Salt-Wise Winter Campaign

Montgomery County and WSSC Water have launched the Salt-Wise campaign to encourage residents and businesses to adopt smarter winter salting practices. Excess road salt can harm streams, drinking water sources, and local ecosystems. The campaign recommends clearing snow before applying salt, using the minimum amount necessary, and sweeping up excess salt after ice melts.
