The Montgomery County Council will review the Montgomery County Public Schools FY2027–2032 Capital Improvements Program on April 14, 2026. The Board of Education has requested more than $2.79 billion, an increase of over $1 billion from the prior CIP, while the County Executive recommends $2.14 billion — $652.3 million less than the Board's proposal. The Education and Culture Committee has preliminarily recommended the Board of Education's requested CIP with a series of changes.
