Construction at Bethesda Metro Station is adding a second mezzanine and entrance to connect the Red Line to the future Purple Line. A 56-day WMATA shutdown between the Bethesda and Grosvenor stations is scheduled to end September 7, 2026. The Purple Line itself is scheduled to open in late 2027.
