Bill 2-26 Would Let Green Bank Use Fuel-Energy Tax for Resiliency

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing on Feb. 24, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. on Bill 2-26, which would authorize the Montgomery County Green Bank to direct fuel-energy tax revenue toward resiliency activities, broadening the current allowable uses of that funding. The bill would amend existing county law on the fuel-energy tax. Residents must sign up to testify by Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
