Bill Would Update Payment Rules for Developmental Disability Service Providers

Fani-González Feb 9, 2026
The Montgomery County Council introduced Bill 12-26 on Feb. 10 at the request of County Executive Marc Elrich, which would amend county code requirements governing payments to service providers for persons with developmental disabilities. The bill would remove an outdated requirement that DHHS calculate payments based on a wage target of 125 percent of the County minimum wage, reflecting a practice already discontinued since FY2020. A public hearing is scheduled for March 10, 2026.
