Fani-GonzálezFeb 9, 2026
Council President Natali Fani-González, Vice President Marilyn Balcombe, and Councilmember Dawn Luedtke introduced Bill 7-26 on Feb. 10, which would clarify that the agricultural-purposes exemption to county building permitting requirements covers business operations and product processing. The bill would exclude from the exemption any buildings where the public consumes food or beverages, which would still require a permit. A public hearing is scheduled for March 10, 2026.
