Council to Vote on FY27 CUPF Fee Increase May 13

MCCouncil May 12, 2026
The Montgomery County Council will take a straw vote on May 13, 2026 on a resolution to increase Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) fees by 7.5 percent for all permit-holder categories at MCPS facilities and the Silver Spring Civic Building. The Education and Culture Committee recommended the 7.5 percent rate, down from the County Executive's proposed range of 7.5–12.5 percent. The increase is projected to bring CUPF to solvency and maintain a required 10 percent end-of-year reserve through FY32.
