Montgomery County Council Jan 19, 2026
The Montgomery County Council is expected to vote on Bill 24-25 on Jan. 20, which would repeal the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program established in 2006 for employers and new development projects. The current TDM fee of 10 cents per square foot generates approximately $1 million per year. The Transportation and Environment Committee unanimously recommends enactment with amendments, including changing the effective date to July 1, 2026.
