County Affordable Housing Units Top 10,000 Since FY2019

Montgomery County announced it has produced or preserved 10,031 affordable housing units for households earning between 30% and 70% of Area Median Income between Fiscal Year 2019 and Fiscal Year 2026. The milestone was highlighted at the September 18, 2026 grand opening of The Chimes. The County's Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) administers financing for these projects through its Housing Initiative Fund.
