County Expands Contracting Access for Women- and Veteran-Owned Firms

Montgomery County has announced an expansion of contracting opportunities aimed at women-owned and veteran-owned businesses, as noted in the Office of Procurement's July 2026 newsletter. The initiative builds on existing socio-economic procurement programs, including the Local Small Business Reserve Program and the Minority, Female and Disabled (MFD) subcontracting program. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has been newly added as an approved certifying agency for MFD program participation.
