Montgomery County held its 27th Annual Recycling Achievement Awards ceremony on May 20, 2026, recognizing outstanding businesses, schools, places of worship, and restaurants for waste reduction and recycling leadership. Winners included GSK Shady Grove R&D, National Institutes of Health, Northwest High School, Samsung Biologics America, King Street Oyster Bar of Potomac, and others. John Anderson III of designDATA was named the Waste Reduction and Recycling Champion.
