County Hosts Open Houses on Solid Waste Management Future

Montgomery County is evaluating options to modernize its solid waste management system, potentially including closing the Resource Recovery Facility in Dickerson. County Executive Marc Elrich and DEP Director Jennifer Macedonia are hosting a series of community open houses March 2–5 to collect public input. Sessions are scheduled in Germantown, Rockville, and virtually via Zoom.
