County Marks Hispanic Heritage Month with Events Sept. 15–Oct. 15

Montgomery County will observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, 2026, with events including a Unity Festival in Wheaton (Sept. 19), a community leaders recognition event (Sept. 22), visits to Latine-owned businesses in East County (Sept. 25), a Spanish-language radio appearance by the County Executive (Sept. 29), and the 15th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Gala at Glenview Mansion in Rockville (Oct. 1). Hispanic and Latine residents make up 21.7% of the County's population according to the 2024 American Community Survey.
