County Releases FY25 Climate Report, Launches Third Mesonet Station

Montgomery County released its FY25 Annual Climate Action Plan report at the National Capital Trolley Museum in Cloverly, showing 80 of 84 Climate Action Plan initiatives are underway, with gains in zero-fare transit, EV adoption, building efficiency, urban tree canopy, and clean energy. The county also launched its third Mesonet weather-monitoring station in partnership with the University of Maryland and the Maryland Department of Emergency Management to improve hyper-local, real-time weather data and emergency preparedness. The event was held in January 2026.
