Luedtke Sep 10, 2026
Montgomery County is weighing whether to continue operating the Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) waste-to-energy incinerator or haul trash to out-of-state landfills while investing in Advanced Waste Processing facilities. The County Council will hold worksessions this fall — the next on September 15, 2026 — with a decision expected before the Council's term ends in December. The Department of Environmental Protection is collecting public feedback via an online survey.
