County Wins $150K Grant for Disaster Financial Resilience

Montgomery County has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) through its Emergency Financial Empowerment initiative. The County's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS) will lead the effort in partnership with the Office of Food Systems Resilience (OFSR) to connect financial counseling and assistance to emergency preparedness, response, and recovery procedures. Montgomery County was one of three jurisdictions competitively selected nationwide, alongside Orange County, Florida and Sonoma County, California.
