The Montgomery County Council will review the $12.6 million FY27 Community Use of Public Facilities budget on May 6, 2026, a 2.3 percent increase from FY26. The Education and Culture Committee unanimously recommends a 7.5 percent fee rate increase across all permit holder categories for Montgomery County Public Schools facilities and the Silver Spring Civic Building, which would yield an 8.57 percent revenue increase compared to FY26. The County Executive had originally proposed a 7.5 to 12.5 percent increase.
