Dangerous Heat Wave Expected July 1–5 in Montgomery County

Montgomery County health and emergency management officials are warning residents of a prolonged dangerous heat event expected from Wednesday, July 1 through at least Sunday, July 5, 2026. Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 90s to lower 100s°F, with heat index values ranging from 102 to 108°F and isolated areas potentially hitting 110°F or higher. Warm overnight temperatures are expected to provide little relief, increasing the risk of heat-related illness.
