DEP Receives $36M; Green Bank Gets $16.3M in FY27 Budget

The Montgomery County Council approved $36 million for the Department of Environmental Protection's General Fund and Water Quality Protection Fund in FY27, supporting the County's Climate Action Plan, stormwater management, and watershed restoration. The budget also provides $16.3 million for the Montgomery County Green Bank to help residents and businesses implement energy efficiency and clean energy solutions, and nearly $450,000 for the Climate Change Planning Non-Departmental Account.
