DOT Funded at $317.2M; $385M in Transportation Capital for FY27

The Montgomery County Council approved more than $317.2 million in operating funding for the Department of Transportation in FY27, supporting Ride On bus service, infrastructure maintenance, traffic management, and the Vision Zero pedestrian and bicyclist safety initiative. The FY27 capital budget includes $385 million for transportation projects, with more than $2.2 billion allocated over the six-year CIP. Key capital projects include the new Burnt Hill Road Bridge and increased road maintenance and resurfacing investments.
