DPS Raises Permitting and Licensing Fees 15 Percent

The Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services implemented a 15 percent increase to its permitting and licensing fees earlier in summer 2026, marking the first fee adjustment in seven years. The increase affects commercial, electrical, fire code compliance, fire protection, mechanical, residential, right-of-way, sediment control, stormwater management, well/septic, and zoning fee categories.
