Elrich Opposes FY27 Budget Counterproposal by Council President

County Executive Marc Elrich plans to address his opposition to the FY27 Recommended Operating Budget counterproposal introduced by Council President Natali Fani-González at his weekly media briefing on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Elrich argues that the proposal would eliminate the Working Families Income Supplement and the Earned Income Tax Credit. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will join the briefing.
