Emma's Torch, a nonprofit enterprise supporting refugees through workforce development and empowerment training, has opened a location in Silver Spring, Maryland. The organization pairs culinary job training with employment and equity education to help refugees secure jobs in Montgomery County. Councilmember Glass welcomed the organization to the community.
