Flash BRT Blue Line Extends into Howard County Sept. 8

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, the Flash Bus Rapid Transit Blue line will extend from its current terminus in Burtonsville north along US 29 into Howard County, adding four new stops including the Mall at Columbia and Merriweather District. The extension is a partnership between Montgomery and Howard Counties and will operate every 15 minutes during weekday rush hours. New trip times and stop locations for the Flash Blue line take effect the same day.
