Flash BRT Blue Line Extends to Howard County Sept. 8

The US 29 Flash Bus Rapid Transit Blue line will extend north into Howard County beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, as a partnership between Montgomery and Howard Counties. The extension adds four stops beyond the current Burtonsville terminus, connecting to the Mall at Columbia and Merriweather. The extended Blue Route will operate every 15 minutes during weekday rush hours.
