Four Bike Path Projects Under Construction in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has four bicycle infrastructure projects currently under construction: the Capital Crescent Trail Phase 2 (0.25 mi, Bethesda), a shared use path near Grosvenor on MD 355 (0.20 mi), the Metropolitan Branch Trail Phase 2A (0.60 mi, Silver Spring), and the McComas Avenue Neighborhood Greenway (1.20 mi, Wheaton). Together, the projects add more than two miles of bike pathways to the county's network. Estimated completion dates range from Summer 2026 to Early 2027.
