FY27 Working Families Income Supplement Budget Rises 15.4%

The GO Committee will review the $36.1 million recommended FY27 Operating Budget for the Working Families Income Supplement NDA on April 29, 2026, a $4.8 million (15.4%) increase over FY26. The program supplements the state's refundable Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income working families. Council President Fani-González's budget proposal would eliminate the County supplement in favor of a progressive income tax structure.
