Groups Raise Alarm Over Maryland Commercial Building Code Proposal

A coalition of environmental groups and at least one Maryland legislator are opposing proposed changes to the state's building code for new large commercial sites. The groups contend that amendments crafted by Maryland's Department of Labor allow builders excessive flexibility in selecting energy-reduction measures, potentially enabling double-counting.
