Head Start Social Worker Wins MCPS Distinguished Award

Lisa Conlon, a social worker with the MCPS Head Start/Pre-K program and Community Action Board member, was named the recipient of the MCPS Distinguished School Social Worker Award. Conlon, who has over 30 years with MCPS and two decades in early childhood, supports registration of more than 3,000 families annually and serves as a coach to new Pre-K/Head Start family service workers. She received the award at a ceremony on March 26, 2026, during Social Work Month.
