Luedtke Asks FAA to Review Airpark Flight School Safety

Councilmember Dawn Luedtke this week formally requested the Federal Aviation Administration review recent safety incidents linked to the Washington International Flight Academy at Montgomery County Airpark. The incidents include an emergency hard landing from equipment malfunction, a wing tip falling onto a nearby public safety facility, and other crashes. Luedtke asked the FAA to issue a comprehensive findings-of-fact report and assess whether stricter regulation of the flight school is needed.
