MCASAC Waives Adoption Fees Aug. 1 for 'Clear the Shelters'

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) in Derwood will waive all adoption fees on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, as part of NBCUniversal Local's annual 'Clear the Shelters' campaign. The shelter, located at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd., will open at 11 a.m. with adoptions available on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, more than 100 pets were adopted during MCASAC's participation in the event.
