MCDOT Builds New Sidewalks Near Four County Schools

MCDOT's Safe Routes to School program currently has sidewalk construction underway at four school areas: roughly 0.45 miles along Bells Mill Road near Cabin John Middle School in Potomac; approximately 0.5 miles across multiple streets near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Germantown; about 0.13 miles along Gabel Street near Northwood High School in Silver Spring; and approximately 0.22 miles along Mount Pisgah Road near Roscoe Nix Elementary School in Silver Spring. MCDOT also recently completed a 0.3-mile sidewalk project at Travilah Elementary School, and constructed 5.85 total miles of sidewalk in the previous fiscal year.
