MCDOT Holds Virtual Hearing on Pooks Hill Road Traffic Calming

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, from 7–9 p.m. to present proposed traffic calming improvements along a 0.4-mile section of Pooks Hill Road between Linden Avenue and MD 355 (Rockville Pike) in Bethesda. Proposed changes include longitudinal bar crosswalks, pavement-marking adjustments to narrow the travel way, new bicycle lanes, concrete islands in parking-restricted areas, and double-yellow centerline markings. Public feedback can be submitted by Aug. 25, 2026, via email to PooksHillRoad@montgomerycountymd.gov.
