MCDOT Holds Virtual Hearing on Pooks Hill Road Traffic Calming

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, from 7–9 p.m., to present proposed traffic calming improvements along a 0.4-mile segment of Pooks Hill Road between Linden Avenue and MD 355 (Rockville Pike) in Bethesda. Proposed changes include longitudinal bar crosswalks, bicycle lanes, pavement-marking adjustments to narrow the travel way, concrete islands, and double-yellow centerline markings. The public may also submit written feedback by Aug. 25, 2026, to PooksHillRoad@montgomerycountymd.gov.
