MCDOT Safe Routes to School Targets 15 Schools for Walkability Studies

MCDOT Aug 24, 2026
MCDOT's Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program has identified 15 schools for walkability studies in the 2026–27 school year, with staff attending back-to-school nights to promote a community safety survey. The program completed 15 infrastructure projects last year, building nearly two miles of sidewalks near schools. Residents can visit the SRTS Safety Survey page to see selected schools and access the surveys.
