MCPD Increases Patrols at Faith Sites, Schools County-Wide

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) has increased patrols at faith institutions, schools, and community gatherings county-wide. The stepped-up presence accompanies the FY26 Nonprofit Security Grant Program awards announced April 21, 2026. Residents are directed to call 911 for immediate threats, MCPD at 301-279-8000 for non-emergency suspicious activity, or Crime Solvers at 240-773-8477 for anonymous tips.
