Metro Runs Free Shuttles Along Red Line Closure Corridor

During the partial Red Line shutdown through September 6, 2026, Metro is running free shuttle buses between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights stations. Some buses offer express service between the two endpoints, while local service runs along Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355. Riders may also use existing Ride On and Metrobus routes serving east-arm Red Line stations, which remain in service.
