Metropolitan Branch Trail Phase 2A Under Construction in Silver Spring

MCDOT is constructing Phase 2A of the Metropolitan Branch Trail in Silver Spring, a 0.60-mile shared use path expected to be completed in early 2027. The trail will connect the Silver Spring Transit Center, Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, and Takoma Park, and is planned to eventually link to Union Station in Washington, D.C.
