North Bethesda Farmers Market Gets Food Scrap Drop-Off Site

Montgomery County's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is adding a food scrap recycling drop-off at Pike Central Farm Market, 935 Prose Street, North Bethesda, beginning Saturday, April 25, 2026. The site will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through November 21, 2026. The addition brings the county's total number of farmers market drop-off locations to five; the program has collected more than 193,000 pounds of food scraps since launching in May 2024.
