Noyes Library for Young Children Closes May 21 for Renovations

The Noyes Library for Young Children at 10237 Carroll Place in Kensington will temporarily close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for a comprehensive rehabilitation that includes elevator installation, ADA-compliant restrooms, a finished basement programming room, and attic-to-second-floor staff workspace conversion. The facility is expected to remain closed approximately 14 to 16 months, with a reopening anticipated in fall 2027. A community groundbreaking will be held at the site at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
