Red Line Shutdown: North Bethesda to Friendship Heights, July 6–Sept. 7

WMATA will suspend Red Line service between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights from July 6 through September 7, 2026, for platform work at Grosvenor–Strathmore station. Affected closed stations include Grosvenor–Strathmore, Medical Center, and Bethesda. Local and express shuttle services will operate in the closure zone, with rail segments continuing to run on either side.
