Ride On Eliminated All Fares Countywide in June 2025

In June 2025, Montgomery County eliminated fare payments for all riders on the Ride On bus system. Additionally, students ages 5–18 in Montgomery County can ride Metrobus and Metrorail for free using a Youth Cruiser SmarTrip card, available at no cost at county libraries and many public school main offices.
