Ride On Routes 12, 16, 17, 18 Detoured July 4 in Takoma Park

Ride On Routes 12, 16, 17, and 18 will operate on detours on Saturday, July 4, 2026, due to the Takoma Park 4th of July Parade and Independence Day events on Maple Avenue. Routes 12, 16, and 18 are detoured from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while Route 17 operates two separate detour windows: 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 12:01–11 p.m.; Route 18 also has a second detour window from 12:01–11 p.m. Multiple stops will be bypassed on each route in both directions, with alternate street routing through Eastern Avenue, Piney Branch Road, Carroll Street, and adjacent corridors.
